Go to www.InmateCanteen.com

Select "Login"

Enter your Inmate Canteen username and password and select "Login"

For Text Messages

You must use a computer

From the main account page, select
"Send an SMS to an Inmate"

Enter all information requested on this page

You must select "USA" for the Country Code

Enter your 10-digit phone number after the Country Code

You do NOT need to enter the (+1) before your phone number
Do NOT use dashes or spaces in your phone number (ex: 6513801234)

Make sure to select the check box next to "Charge my account
for the inmate's reply messages" and select "Save"

For E-mails

You must use a computer

From the main account page, select "My Account"

Select "Edit E-mail Address"

On this screen, you can view all E-mail addresses linked to your account.

You may link a new E-mail to your account if needed
*if this option is used, make sure to check the box next to "Charge my Account for Replies"

If the E-mail you wish to charge for replies is already linked to your account,
locate the E-mail on the list of linked E-mails, and select "Charge Account"

The option will switch to "Stop Charging" when you have successfully
charged replies to the e-mail selected.

Please note: Your inmate will be charged for replies if your Communications Account
does not have a sufficient balance
